SPACE-INNOVATE@UNI joins EIT HEI’s Cohort 5 Communications Workshop

The Space Innovate project, being one of the recently awarded EIT HEI projects under its fifth cohort, has joined a Communications Workshop, created by the EIT HEI team to give its projects, the best practices necessary for effectively communicating and disseminating project activities, objectives and impact.

Led by Eloise Turner, Account Director at Topham Guerin, the digital and creative agency supporting the EIT HEI Initiative, this communications workshop, held in September 2026,  focused on:

  • Visual branding for projects
  • Tone of voice for project messages
  • Building project websites that meets funding requirements
  • Social media best practices across several platforms
  • Using in-person and digital events to share project stories
  • Practical ways to maximise visibility

The Space Innovate project communications team will now implement the recommendations and best practices to boost the project impact.

Project kick-off meeting

The Space Innovate project has officially started, with its launch marked by the Project Kick-off meeting held online on 15 September. The meeting brought together all project partners and the Project Officer from Climate KIC. During the meeting, the work plan for the upcoming two years was presented, and the partners aligned on the first steps and priorities for implementation.

The project will now focus on creating the conditions for the design, development, and implementation of training activities aimed at strengthening innovation and entrepreneurial capacity within higher education institutions.

Alongside this main line of activity, Space Innovate will also support other actions, including the scaling up of start-ups, the development of new or improved innovation structures within universities, and the organisation of joint activities in collaboration with EIT KICs.

The project implementation is a joint effort of 10 partners from 6 EU countries across the Knowledge Triangle and is built to support the European space ecosystem in general and the UNIVERSEH Alliance in particular.
